Mixtape

Every month Life Check sees a new batch of audio street releases from a number of different cats or crews representing a number of different eThekwini Municipality areas.  It’s this kind of innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurship that forms the foundation of the Durban Hip Hop scene.  This is the hard proof of how real Hip Hop keeps itself alive by staying relevant and evident in the underground consumer market.  Check out the following historical definition (courtesy of wikipedia.com) for some clarity around a cornerstone of SA Hip Hop culture: THE MIXTAPE.
